Patna : A police Sub-Inspector (SI) post aspirant, Amar Kumar, 25, was killed while Uday Prasad, father of a girl aspirant Dolly Kumari, sustained bullet injuries in his leg in an indiscriminate firing by 4 miscreants at 6 am on August 23, 2018, to disturb a physical training camp being run by one Ashish Kumar Gupta at Moin-Ul-Haq Stadium under Bahadurpur police station, Patna. The aspirants undergoing physical training had qualified for the post of Sub-Inspector (SI) in the written test.
Four bike borne criminals: Anish Singh, Sahil Raj, Aniket Singh, and Rahul Mental, suddenly reached the physical training camp and started creating a ruckus resulting in heated exchange with physical trainer Ashish Kumar Gupta. Soon the criminals whipped out a revolver and fired at Gupta, but it hit an aspirant Amar Kumar, who died on the spot, while Uday Prasad, father of one of the girl aspirants, Dolly Kumari, sustained bullet injury in leg.
An FIR was lodged in this connection by the physical camp trainer Aashish Kumar Gupta, against the 4 miscreants with Bahadurpur police station. SI, Bahadurpur PS, Kundan, said that the deceased Amar Kumar was a native of Jamhra village under Sonbarsa block in Saharsa district. Uday prasad has been admitted to PMCH for medical aid. The SI also stated that Aahish Kumar Gupta has been running his physical training camp for police job aspirants for past 2-3 years. He also said that the 4 miscreants wanted to start their own training camp at the same place. N arrest have been made so far in this connection.
