Patna : Starting their second innings post-tea after bowling out England for 161 in their first innings, India were 119/2 after 26 overs on the second day of the third cricket test at Trent Bridge, Nottingham, UK, on August 19, 2018, night, 15 over still left to be bowled.

For the second time in the third test openers Shikhar Dhawan and Lokesh Rahul were involved in a 60 run partnership for the first week. Dhawan, who was dropped on 34 by Alastair Cook, was out to spinner Adil Rashid for 44 with 6 fours while Rahul scored 36 with 7 fours. Dhawan was also involved in a 50 run partnership with Cheteswar Pujara for the second wicket. Pujara batting on 32 and captain Virat Kohli batting on 4 are on the crease. India are leading by 287 runs with 8 wickets in hand.
