Girl dies due to negligence of doctor at pvt hospital at Patna

Patna : A 16 year  old girl, Gunja Kumari, a resident of Barh in Patna district and daughter of Pramila Devi, died on July 26, 2018, allegedly due to negligence of a doctor who operated her at Janak Dulari Hospital, Kankarbagh, a private hospital under Patrakar nagar police station, Patna, on July 25. She was operated for removal of  Gallbladder stone.

The patient was admitted to the hospital on July 25, 2018, and was allegedly charged a big amount for the procedure which was paid by the family. On the morning of July 26, 2018, doctor pronounced her dead after which her family members and relatives became furious and registered their strong protest.

SHO, Patrakarnagar Police Station, said that the family members of the deceased had not registered any FIR in this connection. The family has returned to Barh, he said.
