Two groups of Patna college students clash, bombs hurled

Patna : Bombs were exploded on July 24, 2018, afternoon, in a clash between two groups of students from Patna College hostels namely Nutan Hostel and Iqbal Hostel though no student was injured. The two groups clashed over sseat sharing issue, created ruckus and clashed with iron rods, belts and chains initially.

According to SHO, Pirbahore police station, Patna, inmates from Nutan Hostel hurled bombs outside Iqbal hostel further aggravating the situation. On getting information, police forrce rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control though, tension still prevails on the campus.

City SP ( Central), Patna, D Amarkesh said that the explosives used were cracker bombs (sutli bomb). One student was detained in this connection, he said.
