Police foil elopement bid by two love-birds

Buxar : Police foiled an elopement bid by two love-birds from Buxar railway station on July 9, 2018.

SHO GRP, Buxar, said that a resident of Navanagar under the same police station in Buxar district works in Surat in Gujarat. During summer vacation, his wife and 12 year old daughter went to Surat where the latter fell in love with a youth Rama Singh from UP who also works in a private firm in Surat. After spending a month at Surat, the mother-daughter duo returned to their native village. But the love affair did not end.

Rama Singh came to Navanagar on July 8, 2018, and escaped with the girl and stayed at Buxar railway station till midnight. Seeing their activities, the GRP suspected and quizzed them. Though the girl broke under mounting pressure, Rama slipped from police custody and escaped. Later, the family members came and took the girl with them.
