Patna : Police investigation into Parasgarh gang rape of Class X girl under Ekma police station in Saran district continues to move at snail’s pace. Out of the 18 named accused, police have been able to arrest only 6 accused so far including the School Principal Uday Kumar, a teacher, and 4 students: Rohit, Mohit, Vishal, and Chanchal.

Police have also not initiated any move to take any of the arrested accused on remand so far. The girl, who had been gangraped at least twice during last 7 months, had lodged an FIR with Ekma police station on July 6, 2018, in this connection. The survivor is a student of a private school Visheshwar Vidya Niketan, Parasgarh. The arrested Principal Uday Kumar is also owner of the school.
