Woman killed for dowry at Rohtas village

Sasaram : Murder of newly married Puja Kumari for dowry at village Beda village under Muffassil police station in Rohtas district came on surface on July 7, 2018, after police arrested her husband Sunil Kumar and elder brother-in-law (bhaisur) Amod Kumar from Shiv temple at Bhatauli though the other accused are absconding.

A named FIR was lodged with Muffassil police station against fiver persons including Sunil Kumar  on the statement of Puja’s father. SHO Muffassil police station Junaid Alam said that Sunil Kumar, son of Lalan Yadav, was married to Puja Kumari, daughter of Manoj Yadav of village Dhankada in Rohtas district on June 25, 2018, and the bride came to her in-laws’ place  on June 29, 2018 at Beda village. On July 5, 2018, Sunil Kumar allegedly strangulated his wife to death and later chopped her head off with a sharpedged weapon and escaped, he said.

The SHO said that Sunil Kumar was undergoing GNM training and killed his wife after 10 days of  marriage.
