Vesely stuns World No 11 Schwartzman in Wimbledon 2nd round

Patna : World No 93 in ATP rankings Jiri Vesely, 24, Czech Republic, stunned World No 11 Diego Schwartzman, 25, Argentina, in the second round of Wimbledon tennis championship on July 5, 2018, in a major upset in the tournament. Vesely beat Schwartzman 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 to enter the third round of Wimbledon 2018.

World No 40 Karen Kachanov, 22, Russia, also entered 3rd round defeating World No 95 Marcos Baghdatis, 33, Cyprus, in five-sets. Kachanov beat Baghdatis 6-3, 6-4, 3-6, 6-7, 7-5 in the second round. Kachanow hammered 34 Aces in the match to 14 by Baghdatis. Kachanov committed 6 double faults to 9 by Baghdatis. Kachanov won 5 break points compared to 3 by Baghdatis.
