Ara : Some unidentified miscreants shot at and injured Nagendra Singh, 30, son of Ramanand Singh, at village Dulamchak under Chauri police station in Bhojpur district on July 4, 2018, night. The injured was admitted to Ara Sadar Hospital but the doctors there referred him to Patna Medical College and Hospital in view of his critical condition. An FIR has been lodged with Chauri police station but no arrest has so far been made in this regard.
SHO, Chauri police station, said that Nagendra Singh of village Rajpur Bihata under Imadpur police station had come to his in-laws’ place on July 3 at village Perhap. On July 4 night, he went to a nearby village Dulamchak under Chauri police station for dinner when some unidentified miscreants came and started indiscriminate firing in which Nagendra Singh received bullet injuries.
Nagendra’s relatives said that the miscreants had come to kill another youth of the village but the bullet hit him. The villagers said that the incident was an outcome of war of attrition between two rival groups at the village.
