Woman injected wrong medicine by quack dies in Bagaha, quack held

Bagaha: Police arrested a quack Chandra Prakash alias Nirmal Yadav of village Sidhav under Laukaria police station in Bagaha police district on June 30, 2018, on the charge of administering  wrong injuction to a paralytic woman Rina Devi of village Karamaha. She was died at the clinic after being injecting wrong medicine.

Bagaha SP Arbind Kumar Gupta said that the quack was running a clinic cum medical store without proper qualification and certificate by displaying nameplate of one Dr Vivekanand at the clinic. The quack was allegedly practicing allopathy for last several years.

Sources said that despite not being qualified, ChandraPrakash was playing with people’s lives for several years but the Health Department did no take any action against him. SHO, Laukaria police station, Vinay kumar said the body was sent to Sub- divisional Hospital, Bagaha, for autopsy. A case is being lodged with the police station under  various sections of the IPC against the quack, the SHO said.
