100 new Quick Mobile Teams for Patna

Patna : One hundred new quick mobile teams (QMTs) will be deployed in crime prone areas in Patna district for quick response to any crime. Patna zone has been allocated 100 motocycles for the purpose. Each QMT will be manned by 2 efficient armed cops to ensure immediate chase of criminals when required and swift 24×7 raids. A decision to this effect was taken on June 29, 2018, at a meeting on law & order presided over by IG, Patna Zone, N H Khan.

All the Assistant Sub- Inspectors (ASI), Sub-Inspectors (SI) and Police Inspectors posted at different police stations have been directed to carry their official pistol/revolver 24×7 and use it as and when required. They have been directed to collect their weapons within 2 days from the New Policeline. State Police Headquarters will within two days depute 5 efficient police officers at Patna. They will be posted in most sensitive areas.

All the Station House Officers (SHOs) will hold an hour long meeting at 7.30 pm daily with their sub-ordinates to discuss their action plan. IG, Patna, DIG, Central Range, Rajesh Kumar, and SSP, Patna, will monitor the implementation of the new initiatives.
