Prerna Raj tops BSEB Matric Exam, 68.89% students clear exam

Patna :  Prerna Raj of Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya, Jamui, has topped the matriculation examination conducted by Bihar School Examination (BSEB) in 2018 securing 457 marks out of 500 ( 91.4%). Two students of Simutala Awasiya Vidyalaya : Pragya and Shikha Kumari, have secured second position getting 454 marks each. Annu Priya Kumari of the same school has got third position securing 452 marks.

68.89 % students have passed the matriculation exam this year, an increase 18.77% over the 2017 exam. Education Minister Krishnanandan Prasad Verma released the results on June 26, 2018, afternoon, at a presser at BSEB conference hall

Altogether 17,58,797 students including 8,84,621 boys and 8,74,176 girls had appeared at the exam this year of which 1,89,326 students including 1,23,547 boys secured First Division, 6,63,884 students secured Second Division, and 3,57,107 secured Third Division while 5,38,825 students could not clear the exam held at 1,426 centres across the state. The exam was held from February 21, 2018, to February 28, 2018. Results of 7,815 examinees is pending.

Priyanshu Raj of St Xaviers High School, Jagdishpur, Bhojpur, has secured 4th rank getting 451 marks while Manish Kumar of High School, Hulasganj, Jehanabad, has been ranked 5th securing 450 marks.

Sameer Kumar of Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya has bagged 6th rank securing 449 marks. Khushbu Kumari, Neha Kumari, and Sonam Kumari, of Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya, and Manish Kumar of S N High School, Baheri, Darbhanga, are tied at 7th position securing 448 marks. Suprabhat Kumar, Govt High School, Jethour, Banka, has been ranked 8th rank securing 447 marks.

Phule Kant Ranjan and Yashwant Raj of Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya, and Saurabh Kumar of Prakash High School, Maner, Patna, are ranked 8th securing 447 marks.

Six students including five from Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya have secured 9th position getting 446 marks each. They are : Anjali Kumari, Anupama Kumari, Abhishekh Kumar, Ankit Kumar, Subhash Kumar, Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya, and Mohd Aftab Ali, S B High School, Sakra, Muzaffarpur. Tanuj Kumar Manglam, Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya, has been ranked 10th getting 445 marks. Deepak Kumar, Utkramit M S Wara Panday Bhatta Roh 3, Nawada, has also secured 10th rank getting 445 marks.
