Ara : Hundreds of activists of the Congress led by their Bhojpur district president Triveni Singh took out a procession on June 26, 2018, from their office at Shaheed Bhawan roundabout that passed through the main thoroughfares of Ara town and culminated at the gate of the office of Bhojpur District Magistrate to protest pathetic condition of farmers, youth and farm labourers due to apathetic attitude of the State and Central governments.

Speaking on the occasion, congress leader Sridhar Tiwari lashed out at Nitish Kumar government in Bihar and Narendra Modi government at the centre saying both the governments were working  against the interests of the farmers, youth and farm labourers.

The farmers are not getting irrigation facilities, seeds, fertilisers and agriculture implements while youth were not getting jobs though PM Narendra Modi had promised to provide jobs to at least two crore youth every year, Tiwari said adding even the Nitish government was following the Modi government. He claimed that the Congress Party always worked for the farmers, youth and farm labourers. Later, a delegation met the DM and submitted a memorandum to him.
