Boy killed in firing at marriage ceremony at Bhojpur village

Ara : A 15 year old boy Amarjeet Kumar Singh was shot dead at village Barhara under the same police station in Bhojpur district around June 25, 2018, midnight, during a dance programme at a marriage ceremony. Police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.

SHO, Barhara police station, said that the Baraat of Pawan Singh, son of Jai Prakash Singh of village Fuha under the PS, had come to Krishna Singh’s place at Bakhorapur under the police station on June 25 night and a dance programme was organized near the police station to entertain the guests during the marriage ceremony.

During dance programme, when some people were firing in the air, a bullet hit a 15 year old boy Amarjeet Kumar Singh, son of Jitendra Singh of Fuha village under Barhara police station, killing him on the spot. After his death, some villagers rushed to Ara Sadar Hospital and fled away leaving the body at the gate of the hospital.

Jitendra Singh, father of the deceased, alleged that someone had killed his son under a conspiracy. He alleged that his brother-in-law had some enmity with him and he might have killed his son to settle score with him.

The SHO said that an FIR has been lodged with Barhara police station and police are investigating into the incident adding that the culprits would be arrested very soon.
