Ara : Hundreds of activists of the All India Students Association (AISA) staged gherao ofthe Vice Chancellor (VC), Veer Kuer Singh University (VKSU), Ara, on June 25, 2018, in protest against the decision of court order allowing the university to raise the fees for the admission in the B.Ed.
AISA leader Pappu Kumar said that the order of the Patna High Court to raise the fees of B.Ed course from Rs One lakh to Rs 1.5 lakh from the academic session of 2016-2018 was completely wrong and against the interest of students. He said that the students should be given prior information about the change in fee structure and the decision should be introduced from next session. He said that the VKSU administration is realising exorbitant amount from the students at the time of admission.
Kumar criticised the Nitish Government alleging he was determined to destroy education system in Bihar by giving the education system into private hands.
