Bagaha: Five Mahadalit families, which were displaced by devastating flood of Kosil river in 2017 under Bagaha Sub-Division in West Champaran district, are yet to be rehabilitated though rainy season is fast approaching. They have taken shelter at Nautanawa Panchayat Bhavan with their children.

SDM, Bagaha, Ghanshyam Meena, was on June 22, 2018, very surprised to learn about their plight and has asked Circle Officer (CO), Bagaha-2 Anchal, Shriram Oraon to rehabilitate them at safer places.

Villagers Ramendra Gaurav and Baleshwar Mahto informed the  SDM Meena about the displaced families. They had come to meet the SDM on June 22 seeking construction of a Guide Bund to protect the panchayat from Kosil flood. They informed the SDM that the Guide Bund had been constructed but the same was washed away in 2017 flood.
