Patna : World No 22 Novak Djokovic, 31, Serbia, entered the quarter-finals of Queen’s Club Championships, London, a pre-Wimbledon Grass Court event, defeating World No 5 Grigor Dimitrov, 27, Bulgaria, 6-4, 6-1 in the Round of 16 on June 21, 2018.
Djokovic, a former World No 1 and winner of 12 Grand Slam titles, won three break points to none by Dimitrov. Djokovic fired 3 Aces during the match while Dimitrov fired 8 Aces. Djokovic committed 4 double faults while Dimitrov committed 5 double faults. But, Djokovic’s winning percentage on both first and second serve was much bettr than that of his rival.
World No 21 Nick Kyrgios, 23, Australia, also entered the quarter-finals defeating Kyle Edmund, 23, UK, in athree-set thriller 7-6, 6-7, 6-3, in the Round of 16. World No 37 Feliciano Lopez, 36, Spain, also entered the QF as his opponent in Round of 16 Milos Raonic retired before the match.
