Three members a family killed, 3 injured in Vaishali accident

Hajipur ( Vaishali) : Three members of family were killed and another three injured in a head of collision between an Alto car and a  speeding truck near village Goria under Bhagwanpur police station in Vaishali district around 3.45 am on June 19, 2018. The car was completely mangled in the accident. The truck driver escaped with the truck, SHO, Bhagwanpur police station Ajay Kumar said.

The deceased were identified as Uday Prasad Singh, 52, his son Pintoo Kumar Singh, 28, and grandson Vaibhav Kumar, 6. The SHO said that the family was returning to their native village Bithouli under Bhagwanpur police station from Karja in Muzaffarpur district after attending a function there. As the accident took place in the wee hours on June 19, the truck driver managed to escape wih truck. Uday Prasad Singh was teacher in a private college, the SHO said. Of the three injured, two were referred to Patna Medical College and Hospital.
