Patna :  The second cricket test between West Indies (WI) and Sri Lanka (SL) at Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, Gros Islet, St Lucia, ended in a draw on the fifth and final day of the play on June 18, 2018, night. Chasing a target of 296 runs to win the match, WI ended the day on 147/5 in 60.3 overs with opener Kraigg Brathwaite unbeaten on 59 in 172 ball with 6 fours and captain Jason Holder batting on 15. For SL, Suranga Lakmal and Kasun Rajitha took two wickets each while spinner Akila Dhananjaya took one wicket.

WI made a disastrous start to their second innings and at one stage were staring at defeat having lost 4 wickets for 64 runs. But, Brathwaite and Shai Hope steadied the innings with a 53 run partnership for the 5th wicket. Shai Hope made 39 in 115 ball with 4 fours and a six. WI had lost their first wicket on 6 and second on 8. SL had made 253 run in their first innings and 342 in the second innings. WI had made 300 in their first innings.

The WI now lead the three-test series 1-0 having won the first test.
