Jharkhand police launches ‘ Operation Psy-Apps’ to nab top Maoists

Ranchi ( Jharkhand) : After giving befitting blows to naxalites in Saranda, Jhumra and Giridih  forest zones, where  the red  brigade has suffered big jolts due to  arrest of several of its top commanders, Jharkhand  police has launched another massive  poster cum psychological war with the  help of choppers against the naxalites in  five districts of the state urging people to take lakhs of rupees by passing on information for the arrest of top Maoists.

The five district where more than 16,000 posters have been dropped are naxal infested zones of Garhwa, Palamu, Latehar, Lohardagga and Gumla district. It has been done in the last two days. This operation has been named  as ‘Operation Psy-Apps’  which has been planned  not only  to crack the backbone  of naxalites in rural areas but also to seek psychological  advantage over the red brigade.

Jharkhand IG cum police spokesperson Ashish Batra stated that through posters the local people  have been asked to take big cash award which have been announced on the head of  top Maoists  active in Jharkhand who include Sudhakaran alias Sudhakar on whose head Rs 1 crore reward has been already been announced .

Besides, Sudhakar others on whose heads rewards have been announced are:  Nilima ( wife of Sudhakar (Rs 25 lakh), Vishwanath( Rs 25 lakh), Sujata ( Rs 10 lakh), Ravindra Ganju ( Rs 10 lakh), Balram Oraon ( Rs 10 lakh), Umesh Yadav ( Rs 25 lakh), Budheshwar Oraon ( Rs 15 lakh), Chotu Singh Kherwar ( Rs 15 lakh) and 4 others.

“ On the one hand, we are exposing the ugly face of  the naxalites and their misdeeds by tellings the  innocent masses not to get carried off by anti-social elements whose only intention was to earn money through levy collection  and other wrong means,  on the other hand,  common masses are being asked  to take cash reward by getting top Maoists arrested,” stated  Batra.
