Police seize fake Indian currencies, 381 carton IMFL in W Champaran, 8 held

Bettiah : Police arrested 8 persons, seized fake Indiana currencies of the face value of Rs 86,000, 381 cartons of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) besides two four- wheelers and two motorbikes on June 10, 2018, night, under different police stations in West Champaran district.

West Champaran SP Jayant Kant, in a press release issued on June 11, 2018, said that a team of Majhaulia police station led by SHO, Omprakash Chauhan, conducted raid at Paluadora tola and arrested Umesh Sahni and his wife Priyanka Devi with fake Indian correncies of the face value of Rs 86,000.

Another police team led by SHO, Nautan police station, Kundan Kumar Singh carried out raids at different places  arrested four liquor smugglers and seized 381 cartons of  IMFL, four vehicles including two four- wheelers which were being used for transporting liquor.

Meanwhile, Manuapul Police Outpost (OP) incharge Ravi Ranjan Rajak has arrested two wanted criminals Rajan Mishra and Sunit Kumar. The SP said that all the arrested persons were sent to Bettiah district jail on June 11, 2018.
