Begusarai : In a shocking incident, a couple committed suicide at village Kumbhi under Cheria Bariarpur police station in Begusarai district in North Bihar at 10 pm on June 9, 2018, night, leaving behing their two kids.
The deceased were identified as Arvind Yadav, 32, and his wife Savita Devi, 30. The two committed suicide by hanging themselves from the roof of their house. Kumbhi village is located 32 km from Begusarai and about 131 km from State Capital Patna.
Confirming the incident, SHO, Cheria Bariarpur police station, Ranjit Kumar Rajak, said that Arvind’s father and his step-mother were not present at the house when the couple committed suicide. The SHO said that Arvind had gone to his in-laws’ place few days back to attend a religious function there. Arvind returned on June 8 while his wife and kids returned on June 9 evening, the SHO said adding the villagers feel that this might have led to argument between the two. The SHO said that neither Savitri”s parents nor Arvind’s parents suspect any foul play in the incident.
