Ara : The workers of Jan Adhikar Party (JAP) led by their Bhojpur district president Brajesh Yadav stopped Kurla-Patna Express train at Ara railway station on June 10, 2018, Sunday to press their demand for grant of Special Category state status to Bihar.
The JAP worker took out a procession that passed through the main thoroughfares of Ara town and reached Ara railway station under Danapur Division of East Central Rail (ECR), Hajipur, and stopped 13302 Dn Kural-Patna Express by squatting on the railway track and boarding the rail engine raising slogans against Bihar Chief Minister and the Prime Minister for tkeeping the people of Bihar confused over the isue of special status.
Several long distance trains remained stranded at different railway stations between Danapur and Mughalsarai railway stations for several hours. Although the district administration had made elaborate arrangement to maintain law and order at the railway stations and also ensure smooth running of trains, but the cops appeared helpless before the protester.
JAP, Bhojpur district president, Brajesh Yadav, said that both the State and Union governments were cheating the people over the issue of special status to Bihar. He said that their agitation would continue till the demand of grant of special status to Bihar is fulfilled. He said that their national leader Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav, MP, has given a call for Bihar bandh on June 25 to press the party’s demand.
