Sitamarhi DM comes to rescue of minor married girl

Sitamarhi : Sitamarhi DM Dr Ranjeet Kumar Singh recently came to the rescue of a minor married girl in Sitamarhi district. The married minor girl Rashmi ( name changed), 11, had sent an SOS to a Childline Office from her in-laws’ house under Sursand block. The matter was forwarded to the notice of the DM. Her in-laws were summoned but they did not report and left the house out of fear.
The DM has got the girl admitted to the Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jawahar Nagar, Sitamarhi, under his quota seat. She has been assured that the expenditure incurred on her education would be borne by the DM personally. As of now, the girl has been shifted to her maternal grand-father’s place. After summer vacation, she will join school and hostel.
