Police arrest 2 liquor smugglers in Bagaha

Bagaha: A team of Chautarawa police station in Bagaha police district led by its SHO Samrat Dipak seized 191 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from two motorbikes without any registration number.

Police also arrested two liquor smugglers: Gulab Ansari of village Pahari Majauwa, and Sheopujan Yadav of Salahakar Bariyarawa under Chautarawa police station in Bagaha police district in this connection. They had hidden the liquor bottles in their dicky and were coming from Uttar Pradesh on May 30, 2018. Police team seized the liquor bottles during vehicle checking drive at Ratawal-Dhanaha bridge.

Bagaha SP A K Gupta said that the smugglers carrying the liquor bottles were trying to cross over the bridge when police intercepted their bikes and seized the liquor bottles. The two arrested  liquor smugglers were were sent to Bettiah district jail on May 31, 2018, SP Gupta said.
