Patna : Markandey Pratap Singh, son of an ADM rank officer Uday Pratap Singh, and his uncle Arun Kumar, were arrested on May 28, 2018, for allegedly firing five rounds on a L&T company contractor Yuvraj engaged in construction of road and drains on Road Number 3 under Gardanibagh police station, Patna.
SHO, Gardanigh police station, while confirming the arrest of Markandey and Arun Kumar said that the duo was putting pressure on the contractor to extend the underconstruction road up to his residence and when he expressed his inability to do so they fired five rounds. But, no one was injured in the firing, said the SHO.
The firing took place allegedly in the presence of ADM ( Food) Uday Pratap Singh, the SHO said adding police were trying to contact him. The SHO said that Markandey and Arun fired from a licenced rifle. Contractor Yuvraj is a resident of Sonepur in Saran district.
