Ara : A Prohibition and Excise Department team led by Excise Inspector Durgesh Kumar conducted raids at village Sinha under Sinha Police Outpost under Ara Block in Bhojpur district on May 22, 2018, and seized 735 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from a bush. They also arrested two liquor smugglers: Upendra Singh and Madan Singh of Sinha village. Later, both the arrested liquor smugglers were sent to jail. Sinha village is 7.8 km away from Ara, headquarters of Bhojpur district.
