Arrest of notorious criminal Abhishekh Singh big relief to police

Ara : Patna, Bhojpur and Buxar police heaved a sigh of relief after the arrest of notorious criminal Abhishek Singh, who carried a rward of Rs 25,000 on his head, on May 20, 2018, evening. Police also seized one 9mm pistol, two magazines, 12 round of live cartridges and two motorcycle from his possession.

Patna police had on May 20 received information that Abhishek Singh, allegedly a sharpshooter of jailed criminal Ranjeet Chaudhary of village Belaur under Udwantnagar police station in Bhojpur district, had come to meet his associate Vikas, allegedly a member of Ranveer Sena, at village Bela under Naubatpur police station in Patna district and were hatching a plan to murder Bara Panchayat Mukhia Rupak Sharma. Vikas had some enmity with Rupak Sharma. Rupak Sharma was to attend a function at the residence of Surendra Singh at Taradhi under Naubatpur police station on May 20, 2018.

Police surrounded the house where Abhishekh and Vikas had taken shelter. Seeing police, the criminals fired from the house. Police also returned fire. Although Vikas managed to escape, police arrested Abhishek Singh.

SHO, Naubatpur police station, said that after arrest of Ranjeet Chaudhary and Pawan Chaudhary, Abhishek Singh had taken command of the gang and along with Vikas he had committed a number of crimes including murder.

At least a dozen cases of murder, extortion (Rangdari), and firing were lodged Chandi, Nawada, Udwantnagar, Sandesh police stations in Bhojpur district against Abhishekh Singh. He figured as an accused in the murder of an army personnel and a sand labourer, firing at the clinic of a Homoeopathic doctors on Godhna road, demanding extortion money from  mobile shop, coaching institute owners and doctors. He allegedly demanded extortion amount through WhatsApp.
