Ara : Police seized 8,340 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) worth about Rs 30 lakh near Petrol Pump under Gajrajganj Police Outpost in Bhojpur district on May 20, 2018, night, though the liquor smugglers escaped from the spot. Police also seized a truck.
Bhojpur SP Awakash Kumar said that the liquor smugglers had parked a truck near Petrol pump under Gajrajganj Police Outpost on May 20 night. When the patrolling team reached there and inquired about the truck no one answered. Plice searched the truck and seized 8,340 IMFL packed in 245 cartons.
In another incident, police seized 25 bottles of IMFL and arrested a liquor smuggler Biraju Prasad near Ahirpurwa locality under Ara Town police station on May 21. Biraju Prasad was sent to jail.
