Scribe shot at and injured in Rohtas

Sasaram : Some unidentified armed persons shot at and injured Reporter of a Hindi daily Vindhyachal Upadhayay of village Khaira village under Sanjhauli police station in Rohtas district in the wee hour on May 18, 2018. He was admitted to Karuna Hospital  at Bikramganj in Rohtas district. His condition is stated to be critical.

An FIR has been lodged with Sanjhauli police station but no arrest has so far been made in this connection. Vindhyachal is the brother-in-law (devar) of Up Pramukh, Sanjhauli, Madhu Upadhayay.

SHO, Sanjhauli police station, said that Vindhyachal Upadhyay was returning to his native village Khaira along with Chandan Kumar on his motorcycle from Sasaram. When he reached near Jigani bridge under Sanjhauli police station, some miscreants fired on him  injuring him seriously and escaped from there.
