Patna : Karnataka CM and senior BJP leader B S Yeddyurappa will seek vote of confidence in Karnataka Legislative Assembly at 4 pm on May 19, 2018. This follows a directive of the Supreme Court (SC) on May 18, 2018.

Yeddyurappa took oath as the Chief Minister of Karnataka on May 17. The Governor Vajubhai Vala had given him 15 days to prove his majority in the House. The court said let the House decide the matter and ordered for a floor test on May 19. The BJP is 7 short of simple majority. Yeddyurapp says he will obey the SC order on floor test.
