Retired army personnel killed in land dispute at Buxar village

Buxar : A retired army personnel Baban Yadav was beaten to death at Pilapur village under Navanagar police station in Buxar district on May 16, 2018, evening. Police brought the body over to Buxar Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. An FIR has been lodged with the police but no arrest has so far been made in this connection. Land dispute is said to be the cause behind the incident.

SHO, Navanagar police station, said that families of Baban Yadav and Hazari Yadav clashed over a piece of land at Pilapur village on May 16 evening. Within hours, the situation took an ugly turn and both the groups clashed with traditional weapons in which Baban Yadv, a retired armyman, son of late Bhola Yadav, was killed. After the incident, family members of Hazari Yadav fled away from the village.
