Patna : Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) scored 218/6 in 20 overs against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 51st match of IPL 2018 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, Karnataka, on May 17, 2018, night, riding on a 34 ball 65 with 6 sixes and 2 fours by allrounder Moeen Ali, England, 39 ball 69 with 12 fours and a six by A B de Villiers, South Africa, a quickfire 40 in 17 ball with 4 sixes and a four by Collin de Grandhomme, New Zealand.

SRH won the toss but opted to bowl. Batting first, RCB lost the wicket of opener Parthiv Patel when the score was only 6 while captain Virat Kohli was bowled by spinner Rashid Khan, Afghanistan, when the score was 38. Kohli made only 12. A B de Villiers and Moeen Ali were then involved in a 107 run partnership for the third wicket. de Villiers fell to Rashid Khan after scoring 69 when the team score was 145.

Moeen Ali also fell to Rashid Khan when the score was 149. After that Colin de Grandhomme took the SRH bowlers to cleaners hitting 4 sixes. Sarfaraz Khan remained not out on 22 in 8 ball hitting 3 fours and a six. Mandeep Singh made 6.

For SRH, Rashid Khan took 3/27 in 4 overs while pacer Siddharth Kaul took 2/44 in 4 overs. Sandeep Sharma took 1/40 in 4 overs. Basil Thampi leaked 70 runs in 4 overs without taking any wicket.
