Bagaha: Sixteen students were injured in a violent clash between two groups of students at Bimalkant Chaudhary playground, Narainapur, under Bagaha town police station in Bagaha police district on May 14, 2018, evening, over the issue of playing on the ground.
Principal of Sunrise private school Anand Kumar Singh was arrested by Incharge, Pathakauli Police Ootpost, Subhash Mukhia, for allegedly instigating his students to attack the rival group of students. Police sources said that tension was building up between the two groups for the two days for control over the playground.
The Sunrise private school hostel is located adjacent to the playground. Another group of students also used to play on the field daily. But, Principal of Sunrise School Anand Kumar Singh did not like it and a heated exchange took took place between him and the students of another group on May 14 evening and students of his school hostel clashed with the students of rival groups allegedly at his behest. The Sunrise School students suddenly came out of hostel and started beating the rival group.
Sixteen students of the rivals groups sustained serious injuries in the clash and were admitted to Government Sub- divisional hospital, Bagaha. Police arrested Principal Singh on the charge of provoking his students, said SP, Bagaha police district, Anil Kumar Singh. A counter case has also been lodged in this connection, he said.
