Ara : Police recovered a body from a well at village Berath under Chauri police station in Bhojpur district on May 14, 2018, evening, and brought it over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The deceased was identified as Kush Kumar, 38, son of Sudeshwar Singh of Berath village, and was  a veterinary doctor and BJP leader.

A named FIR was lodged with Chauri police station against two named and some unnamed persons in this regard on the statement of deceased’s elder brother Lav Kumar but no arrest has so far been made in this connection. Love affairs is said to be the reason behind the incident.

SHO, Chauri police station, said that Kush Kumar had gone to Agiaw Bazaar on May 10, 2018, evening, but did not return. His members searched for him but when they failed to locate him, they informed police about it but police remained inactive. On May 14 evening, the villagers felt foul smell emitting from a well at village Berath and informed police. Police recovered the body from the well.
