2 gang rape case accused surrender before Buxar court

Buxar: Two named accused in a rape case of a teenage girl surrendered before the Buxar Civil Court on May 10, 2018, and were sent to jail. Police had earlier arrested two other accused and forwarded them to jail.

Four persons : Rakesh Kumar, Pawan Kumar, Ranjit Kumar, son of a Mukhia, all of Buxar district, and Jitednra Kumar of village Jagdhara village under Dawath police station in Rohtas district, had allegedly gangraped a teenage girl at village Motisabad under Koransarai police station in Buxar district when she had gone to the field to attend call of nature on May 3, 2018. She had come to her sister’s house to attend a marriage ceremony.

A named FIR was lodged with Koransarai police station on the statement of the girl. Police had arrested Rakesh Kumar and Pawan Kumar the very next day while Ranjit Kumar and Jitendra Kumar were absconding. But, but under mounting police pressure,they surrendered before the court on May 10 and were sent to jail.
