Son dies in accident, father seriously injured in Kaimur

Bhabhua : A youth Manish Kumar, 20, was killed while his father Dinesh Kumar, a Bihar government employee, was seriously injured when their motorcycle collided with an electric pole near village Dhanua  under Shivsagar police station in Kaimur district on May 9, 2018, morning.

Police brought the body over to Bhabhua Sadar Hospital for post-mortem and admitted the injured there but the doctor there referred him to Varanasi in view of his critical condition.

SHO Shivsagar police station said that Dinesh Kumar works at Mohania Chakbandi office in Kaimur district. On May 9 morning, Manish Kumar was carrying his father Dinesh Kumar on his motorcycle as he had to catch a bus.

But, on way his motorcycle developed some snag and its speed accelerated suddenly. Manish Kumar lost control on his motorcycle which collided with an electric pole. The collision was so intense that the motorcycle jumped about four feet in the air before falling on the ground. Manish Kumar fell on a heap of stonechips on the roadside and was killed while his father fell into a ditch and was seriously injured.
