Over 100 Baarati fall ill after taking dinner at Bhojpur village

Ara : Over 100 persons fell ill and were admitted to Ara Sadar Hospital after taking dinner at a marriage ceremony at village Dubauli under Piro police station in Bhojpur district round midnight on May 6, 2018.

A baarat from village Ekauna under Udwantnagar police station had come to Dubauli village on May 6 night. After some rituals, over 100 baratis had dinner. Immediately after that, they started vomiting and having loose motion and also felt giddiness. The villagers rushed all of them to Ara Sadar Hospital.

Civil Surgeon, Bhojpur, Dr Ras Bihari Singh said that it was a simple case of food poisoning and added they were being treated but condition of at least a dozen persons is serious.
