6 accused in Navruna murder case produced before court, sent to jail

Muzaffarpur : The CBI on May 4, 2018, produced before Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM), Muzaffarpur, A K Dixit, the six accused who were arrested on April 28, 2018, in connection with Muzaffarpur girl Navruna murder case. The court forwarded them to Khudiram Bose Central jail in judicial custody The CBI arrested them on April 28 after interrogating them.

Navruna, a Class VII student of St Xaviers School, Muzaffarpur, was kidnapped on September 18, 2018, night, by some people from her Jawaharlal Nehru Road residence and subsequently killed. Bihar Government had ordered CBI probe into her kidnapping and murder on the request of her parents.

The six accused arrested on April 28, 2018, include former vice-chairperson District Board, Muzaffarpur, Shah Alam Shaboo, Hotelier Abhay Gupta, Builder Brajesh Singh, Businessman Vinit Jaiswal, Vickku Shukla, and Navruna’s neighbour Rakesh Kumar.
