Riga Sugar Mill Workers Union chief Om Prakash Patel shot dead

Sitamarhi: Riga Sugar Mill Workers Union President Om Prakash Kumar Patel, 40, by two unidentified bike borne criminals near village Babhangama under Riga police station in Sitamarhi district at 9.15 am on April 8, 2018,  when he was on way to Riga on his bike. Riga is about 7 km away from Sitamarhi town.

The deceased and pillion rider Mithilesh Kumar were going to Riga Sugar Mill from their native village Babhangama, 6 km from Sitamarhi town, on a motorbike. The two bike borne criminals suddenly surfaced from behind and started raining bullets on Rai. He received six bullets and the doctors pronounced him brought dead at Sadar Hospital, Sitamarhi. Mithilesh too sustained bullet injury and has been admitted into a private nursing home at Sitamarhi town. The goons sped away towards Suppi.
Angry over the killing of Om Prakash Rai, Riga Sugar Mill workers and locals have blocked the Mill Chowk at Riga block headquarters.
