Teenage girl gangraped at Bhojpur village, no arrest

Ara : A teenage mahadalit girl was gangraped at village Amrai Nawada village under Bihia police station in Bhojpur district on April 5, 2018, evening. The police brought her to the Ara Sadar Hospital for medical examination on Friday. An FIR has been lodged with Women police station, Ara, against three persons including Ras Bihari Yadav, son of a PDS dealer Ayodhya Yadav, but no arrest has so far been made in this regard.

Station House Officer, Women Police station, Poonam Kumari said that the girl was washing her hands at a handpump outside her house at village Amrai Nawada under Bihia police station after attending call of nature when three persons tied her mouth under the cover of darkness in the late evening on April 5 and took her to a secluded place where they gangraped her.

The father of the girl said that he went to Bihia police station and the SC/ST police station to lodge an FIR against the accused but he had to return with disappointed. Finally, he complained to Bhojpur SP Awakash Kumar and on his direction an FIR was lodged by Women Police Station.
