Bhojpur police arrest 2 criminals for killing driver, looting 7 trucks

Ara : Police conducted raids at village Chatar under Barhara police station in Bhojpur district around midnight on April 4, 2018, and arrested two criminals : Aasnandan Bind, son of Ram Babu Mahto, and Sriram Bind, son of Kashi Bind, in connection with murder of a truck driver Rak Kishore Yadav after looting seven trucks.

Police also seized a countrymade pistol and two live rounds from the possession of Aasnandan Bind besides taking one Chandan Kumar under their custody for interrogation in this regard.

Bhojpur SP Awakash Kumar said that five armed criminals had intercepted seven trucks on Dhusaria-Chatar road under Barhara police station in the wee hour on March 31, 2018, and looted Rs 7 lakh from them and also shot dead a truck driver Raj Kishore Yadav, 30, son of Lala Yadav of village Barbatta under Kako police station in Jehanabad district.

The SP said that both the arrested persons have criminal background and had revealed the names of their other three accomplices. The SP said police will very soon arrest all of them. He said that the looted money is still in the possession of miscreants.
