Deserted by mother, newborn girl dies in Bhojpur

Ara : A woman threw her newborn daughter in a bush at village Bimwa village under Jagdishpur police station in Bhojpur district on April 3, 2018, to get rid of her. When the child started crying, the villagers reached there and saw a newborn girl in a plastic bag.

The villagers immediately brought her to a private clinic at Isadhi Bazaar but Rameshwar Singh and his  wife Asha Devi insisted on taking the baby to Ara Sadar Hospital for better treatment.But, the bady breathed her last on way to the hospital.

Sunita Kumari, Chairperson, Child Welfare Committee (CWC), said that the SHO, Jagdishpur, and the Mukhia, Bimwa panchayat, handed over the baby to Rameshwar Singh and Asha Devi on their own without completing legal process.
