Patna : Pakistan scored 203/5 against West Indies in the first T20I at National Stadium, Karachi, Pakistan, on April 1, 2018, with opener Fakhar Zman scoring 39 in 24 balls with 6 fours and a six and Captain and wicketkeeper Sarfraz Ahmad scoring 38 in 22 balls with 4 fours and a six. Hussain Talat made 41 in 37 balls with 2 fours and a six. Both Fakhar Zaman and Talat were run out.

Talat and Sarfraz were involved in a 75 run partnership for third wicket. Shoaib Malik remained unbeaten on 37 in 14 balls hitting 4 fours and 2 sixes in an explosive display of batting. Faheem Ashraf remained unbeaten on 16 in 9 balls with a four and a six. Both were involved in a 47 run partnership for the 6th wicket. For West Indies, Keemo Paul, Rayad Emrit, and Rovman Powel took one wicket each.
