Man commits suicide as wife refuses to stay at in-laws’ place

Buxar : Pappu Gupta, 35, of Bihia under the same police station in Bhojpur district, committed suicide on March 22, 2018, late night, by hanging himself to the ceiling of a room at his in-laws’ place at Sonbarsha in Buxar district after his wife refused to go with him to his place. Later, police brought the body over to Buxar Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.

SHO, Sonbarsha Police Outpost, Manoj Pathak, said that Pappu Gupta was married to Babita, 33, of Sonbarsha but she always lived with her parents and never wished to go her in-laws’s place though Pappu Gupta always persuaded her to live with himat Bihia that often led to quarrel between two.

On March 22, 2018, Pappu Gupta went to his wife and asked her to accompany him to Bihia but she refused. After that Pappu Gupta went to sleep in a room upstairs and committed suicide by hanging himself to the ceiling of the room. On March 23 morning, his wife Babita went to wake him up and when he did not respond, she with the help of her family members broke open the door of the room but found Pappu Gupta hanging to the ceiling.
