Ara : Anil Singh, a farmer of village Majhaua under Town police station, Ara, in Bhojpur district, was allegedly killed under mysterious circumstances at his house at the village on March 20, 2018. Police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
Shilpa Singh of village Kachhawa under Nasariganj police station in Rohtas district was married to Anil Singh of village Majhaua under Town police station, Ara. She is the second wife of the deceased. Anil Singh had a 17 year old son from his first wife and an 18 month old daughter from his second wife.
Shilpa Singh alleged that her husband used to beat her regularly and on March 20, 2018, he thrashed her once again. She also showed wound on her hand. Shilpa said she escaped to her neighbour’s house for life and when returned she found her husband lying on the floor dead.
SHO, Town police station, J P Singh said that the matter is complicated. He said that that the cause of Anil Singh’s death would be clear after the post-mortem comes.
