Bagaha :  The Bagaha Sub-Divisional administration has launched an anti- encroachment drive along the roads in Bagaha town to streamline traffic and prevent entry of sugarcane laden double trailer tractors in the town during the day hours.

Due to frequent entry of sugarcane loaded vehicles, pedestrians, school going children, passenger buses, bike riders, rickshawpullers and other vehicles find it extremely difficult to move on or cross the roads.

SDM, Bagaha, Ghanshyam Meena, in a communication to Manager, Tirupati Sugars Limited, Bagaha, had on March 17, 2018, said if sugarcane laden vehicles cause any accident, the factory will be responsible for it.

Tirupati Sugars Limited is located under Nagar Parishad, Bagaha, and it brings raw materials here from different parts of Bagaha Sub -division. If the factory suddenly stops cane crushing due technical fault or any others cause, the number of sugarcane laden vehicles increases on the road. Similarly, when the Dumawalia rail level crossing(50SG) is closed to let the trains cross, long queue of vehicles is seen on NH 28(B), which passes through the same rail level crossing.

The SDM has directed Anil Patel, Assistant Election Officer, Prakash Sinha, Executive Magistrate, and Ashok Kumar, BDO, to streamline traffic movement in the town.
