New Delhi : Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Suresh Prabhu on March 10, 2018,  given additional charge of Ministry of Civil Aviation.

The President of India, as advised by the Prime Minister, has directed that Suresh Prabhu, Cabinet Minister, shall be assigned the charge of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, in addition to his existing portfolio, according to a PIB release.

It may be mentioned here that Minister for Civil Aviation Ashok Gajapathi Raju Pusapati of TDP resigned on March 8, 2018, along with another TDP Minister Y S Chowdary. TDP chief and Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu had on March 7 announced that the party’s ministers will quit the central government in protest against its refusal to grant special category status to the state.
