Patna : Sri Lanka defeated India by 5 wickets in the first match of the Nidahas Trophy tri-series also involving Bagladesh at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo, on March 6, 2018, night, courtesy a quickfire 66 in 37 balls including 4 sixes and 6 fours by Kusal Perera. Replying to India’s modest 174/5, Sri Lanka scored 175/5 in 18.3 overs. Thisara Perera remained unbeaten on 22 in 10 balls inluding 2 fours and a six while Sasun Shanaka remained not on 15 in 18 balls.

For India, Yuzvendra Chahal took 2/37 andWashington Sunder 2/28. Jaidev Unadkat took 1/35. Shardul Thakur gave away 42 runs in 3.3 overs. Opener Shikhar Dhawan made 90 in 49 balls hitting 6 fours and 6 sixes.
