Nawada: A Nawada bound passenger aboard ‘Raja Deluxe’ bus coming from Kolkata on March 5, 2018, night, was found dead in his seat when the bus reached its destination Pakribarama, 20 km from Nawada town on March 6 morning. The deceased was identified as Janardan Mahto, 40,  of village Juri under Pakribarama police station (PS) in Nawada district.

Pakribarama PS SHO Sanjay Kumar said the bus conductor thought the passenger was sleeping and tried to shake him awake at Pakribarama but the man failed to respond. The panicky driver informed the bus owner who, in turn, asked him to contact the local police.

The deceased’s identity was established through the Adhaar card found in his handbag which also contained some medicine. His belongings were found intact. Janardan himself worked as a truck driver in Chennai and was returning to join his family for the
forthcoming Chaiti Chhath festival. He is survived by his wife and three minor children. His body was sent to Nawada Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
